Everyone thinks my waist got smaller but my hips just grew – people ‘want a glow-up like’ mine
WHEN a content creator received comments on her body changes, people incorrectly assumed she’d lost weight from her midsection.
Actually, she put on inches in a different area, and the effect is so striking people want to copy her.
On her TikTok page, 19-year-old Nicole (@nicoleisgod) addressed the common query people had about her body.
When she was younger, Nicole had a small waist and a fairly straight torso, she explained in a video.
Showing a still of her body from several years before, Nicole pointed out that her waist hadn’t whittled down over the years.
“My waist did not get smaller,” she wrote in the caption. “My hips grew.”
Nicole showed a video clip of herself in front of the bathroom mirror, posing to accentuate the hourglass shape of her torso.
Her waist was the same size today as it was when she was younger, but it looked smaller thanks to her growth in other areas.
“It’s all about the hips,” she assured viewers in the video description.
Viewers were amazed by how dramatic the impact of such a small transformation could be.
“This is genes,” one viewer explained. “As you grow older, they get wider.”
“Okay, BRB, running to the gym,” said another, intent on packing on some muscle in her hips and glutes.
“Some people in this world are just so lucky,” a fan said.
One viewer said that since Nicole is 19, her body is “not even fully developed.”
“That’s not a glow up, that’s becoming an adult,” a critic agreed.
Others were skeptical of Nicole’s stated reason for the change.
“Did you get a rib removed or something?” one snarky viewer asked.
But more people were impressed by her transformation – and inspired to use the same tactic to alter their own figures.
“I wanna glow up like this,” one woman wrote.
“Okay, she’s giving me hope,” wrote a relieved commenter.
