I’m a hairdresser and you’ve been drying your locks all wrong – it’s why your hair’s frizzy not smooth

A HAIRDRESSER has revealed that you’ve been drying your locks all wrong and in order to get your frizzy hair smooth, you must follow her three simple steps. 

Rachel Valentine (@rachelvalentinehair) took to TikTok to share her hacks, leaving many very impressed. 

Rachel shared her clip with the caption ‘Some tips for smoothing out frizzy hair when blow drying.’

The hairdresser said: “All my frizzy hair gang, please watch this, because I have the best tips for when you’re drying your hair.

“Firstly, you need a decent hair dryer, a professional hair dryer because it has more power and the perfect amount of heat.

“The cheaper, or the older hair dryers, they’re not powerful enough, and you need the power to be able to smooth down your hair.

“Secondly, you need a nozzle. I never dry my hair without a nozzle.

“It directs all the air into one thin strip, which means that when you’re blow drying, you’re going to be able to get it smoother.

“If you’re rough drying or you’re blow drying with a brush, to de-friz, you need to point the airflow down your hair.

“It may seem obvious, but I see a lot of people just drying willy-nilly.

“You want to always be drying down, having the air flow coming down, even if you’re rough drying, you want to be moving down the hair.

“If you’re blow drying, exactly the same, we want to be pushing down. 

“Finally, you need tension, so what I do is gently hold my hair as I’m coming down and that enables us to get it smooth.

“And if you’re using a brush, again, it needs to be gently pulled and not slack.

“If it’s slack, you’re not going to get it de-frizzed.” 

Rachel’s clip has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 182k views.
