Holly Willoughby left gobsmacked during very awkward moment as This Morning legend returns to the show
THIS Morning star Holly Willoughby was left gobsmacked after a VERY awkward moment on today’s show.
The stunned host found out live on air that one of her colleagues was returning to the programme.
Holly, 42, was joined by her co-star Phillip Schofield for the ITV daytime show, alongside a number of their regular guests.
Among them was fashion guru Trinny Woodall, who joined them live via video link to talk through a make-up masterclass.
Holly was delighted to see the What Not To Wear star live, as she gushed over her as her “favourite fashionista turned beauty guru”.
Trinny, 59, went on to show off her make-up tips and tricks alongside viewer Lisa, focusing on skin tone, hair and eye colour.
But as cameras cut back to Holly and Phil, 60, in the studio, things took an awkward turn.
Phil told viewers: “We’ve actually got some very exciting news as next month, Trinny is going to be making a return to our This Morning catwalk.”
“Awh,” Holly could be seen celebrating, before awkwardly adding: “Sometimes I find this stuff out as I’m hosting the show.”
“I’m like a viewer sometimes,” she joked, to which Phil laughed and added: “Oooh! You could have styled it out.”
“I couldn’t,” she hit back, before going on to announce what was coming up next on the latest episode of the show.
It comes just days after This Morning host Alison Hammond was forced to apologise after a guest swore live on air.
Friday’s instalment of the ITV show saw Alison and co-host Dermot O’Leary celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
During one segment Kevin Woods, who claims to be the world’s last leprechaun whisperer, took to the sofa to chat about his life.
Kevin even told the hosts he had brought a leprechaun in a bag to show the hosts.
As Kevin knelt down to the table to release the leprechaun from his bag, he asked the pair to put their arms around the table to make sure that the leprechaun couldn’t escape.
When he opened the bag there was just hay and a brown bag on the table – meaning nothing was there.
Kevin then hit out: “Oh for god’s sake, the wee f**ker!” before Alison was forced to apologise to shocked viewers at home.
