Woman found dead at popular beauty spot in Derbyshire
A WOMAN has been found dead at a popular beauty spot in Derbyshire.
The body was tragically discovered in the water at Straws Bridge Nature Reserve, in Ilkeston, around 7.40am on Monday.
Cops were called to the scene when the woman, believed to be in her 70s, was found by a member of the public.
The pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
It is not yet known how she died but it is not thought to be suspicious, say police.
An investigation has since been launched.
