I had 10 kids in 10 years & every one is named after someone special to me – a Harry Potter character for starters

A MUM who welcomed ten children in as many years has opened up about the unique names she has given her brood.

Cassandra Morrise is a proud parent of nine sons and one daughter – and they each have a moniker that she thinks suits them perfectly. 

Cassandra regularly shares updates about her huge family’s life on her TikTok profile @10kidsin10years.

In one of her most popular videos to date, the mum decided to reveal the hidden inspiration for her kids’ names. 

And the parenting influencer said that they were all directly linked to someone she and her husband had encountered in her life. 

She told her 198.1k followers: “All of our boys were named after actual people.

“Funny enough, Lily was the only one who was not, though originally we thought she would be Eleanor after Cassandra’s grandma.

“[But] Lily just felt right for some reason.”

Cassandra, who is based in Utah in the US, then shared that her second youngest, Lily, was named after none other than a Harry Potter character.

She explained: “Harry Potter’s mum, Lily Evans Potter, is the most noble character in the Harry Potter books.”

But it wasn’t just the magical film franchise that helped the couple to name their children. 

Cassandra and her partner Jacob – who are both members of the Church – also looked to people who were close to them in their real life.

She continued to reel off her son’s names, starting with the oldest and continuing to the youngest.

The mum revealed that her eldest two – Steven and Christopher – were named after Jacob’s Mission Companion Trainer from a religious mission, and the roommate that he met there.

Their next son down, named William, was continuing a family tradition as it’s also the moniker of “Cassanda’s Great Grandfather whose mom Cassanda is named after.”

While Thomas also honoured Cassanda’s family as it was the name of her fourth Great Grandpa, Thomas McBride.

While the rest also had links to their Church, from Ryan – another friend met on the mission – to Spencer after a man called Thomas Spencer Monson.

Their other children’s names are Max – after a little boy in the congregation – Henry who is a counsellor there. 

Last, but by no means least, the youngest of the brood is Peter — taken straight from the Apostle Peter from the New Testament of the Bible.

But it was Lily’s name that got the most attention from their social media following.

One person said: “You named her after Lily Potter OMG.” As a second wrote: “Harry Potter’s mum!” alongside a string of heart emojis.
