We didn’t want to pay for an expensive house or have a mortgage so live on a 59ft boat – we love our tiny home
A COUPLE who didn’t want an expensive mortgage have revealed how they live on a 59ft boat instead, and love the experience.
Adam Lind and Lauren Coley post clips about their cosy narrowboat home and share their adventures on The Floating Home channel.
The wife and husband duo – along with dog Shanti – have been living on the boat for a couple of years, after buying it for £38,000.
They’ve racked up millions of views on their “boat life” and have filmed numerous clips inside.
The boat has a “reverse layout” which means you enter through the kitchen and then can access the rest of the living area.
The light blue kitchen even has a washing machine under the counter and there’s a window above the sink for taking in the canal views.
On their @adam.floatinghome account, Adam said he wasn’t sure about the layout at first but he now loves the “sanctuary” it creates when he is cooking.
You then wander through the couple’s cozy sleeping space which features a snug double bed.
And then you can slide a door to view their very stylish bathroom, which they “completely renovated.”
The focal feature is their stone-bowl sink, but the room also has a compost toilet, chic tiles on the wall, a number of house plants and a shower.
The end room is their “cozy living space”, which has a fireplace and everything on one side so they can practise yoga on the other.
Adam added: “As you can see I’m pretty sure we have more plants than a garden centre.”
The “walkthrough” video has racked up nearly 100,000 likes and people were amazed.
One said: “This looks soooo pretty and cozy, love it!”
Another added: “That’s a beautiful cozy place.”
