Coronation Street’s Elle Mulvaney teases role on rival soap after 13 years on cobbles
CORRIE star Elle Mulvaney revealed she would “love” to work on a rival ITV soap after 13 years on the show.
Coronation Street favourite – who plays Amy Barlow on the cobbles – admitted she would join rival soap Emmerdale.
The 20-year-old actress first joined the soap back in 2010 at the age of seven.
ITV viewers have witnessed the fiery character Amy grow into a young adult as well as watch Elle evolve as an actor.
Her character has tackled several storylines including a teenage pregnancy, alcohol spiking and most recently a harrowing rape storyline.
Fans saw the departure of Aaron Sandford (James Craven) after he dropped the libel case. But what’s next for Amy?
Elle has hinted that she would consider to take on a role in Emmerdale as she has been a fan of the soap for many years.
She told the Daily Star: “I love Emmerdale, I really do love Emmerdale but I’m a Corrie gal so I’m torn.
“I mean who knows, if Emmerdale village is ready for Amy B then I’m on my way! I’ll be down the Woolpack pulling a pint in no time.
“I don’t know honestly. I love Corrie, Corrie is my home and Leeds is a bit far, isn’t it? Especially being a Manchester girl.”
However, Elle reassured fans that she had no plans of leaving Weatherfield any time soon.
She added: “Obviously I don’t know what the future holds but I can’t even think of leaving.
“I love it where I work, I love what I get to do, I love the storylines we get given, I love the people I work with.”
