EastEnders villain looks unrecognisable as he teases new role in period costume
EX-EASTENDERS star Toby Alexander-Smith has looks unrecognisable in his new period drama role.
The 32-year-old quit the BBC soap last year after becoming a dad to daughter Bonnie with girlfriend Amy Walsh.
The actor played serial killer Gray for three years, but now he’s busy working on a new project away from the camera.
Toby-Alexander took to Instagram to share a snap of himself as his new character.
He wore a blue paisley waistcoat, white shirt, pair of beige trousers and black boots as he smouldered for the camera.
He captioned the snap: “Who’s the new guy?”
Fans are convinced his new role will involve starring in the hit Netflix show Bridgerton, due to his attire and its time period.
Rushing to the comment section, one fan said: “Hoping this is Bridgerton!”
Another wrote: “Hopefully a love interest for Eloise.”
A third penned: “Omg omg omg @toby_alexander_smith please be Bridgerton.”
Meanwhile, Toby-Alexander is set to marry fiancée Amy Walsh after the pair recently announced their engagement.
Amy took to Instagram last August to announce Toby-Alexander had proposed on a beach in Ibiza.
Amy shared three snaps to her main grid, captioned: “Before. During. After.”, which showed them dining at luxurious beach restaurant Aiyanna Ibiza.
Amy and Toby have been in a relationship since 2019 after meeting by chance in the Strictly Come Dancing audience and moved in together in 2020 because of the pandemic.
