The Chase viewers blast ‘selfish’ contestant as she makes controversial move on ITV show
THE Chase viewers have blasted one ‘selfish’ contest after she made a controversial move.
Viewers of the beloved ITV quiz show tuned in on Monday for the first helping of the week.
Presenter Bradley Walsh was at the helm as he introduced four brand new viewers to the game.
They were Claudia, Neville, Kim and Pete who were who against Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan.
During the game the team amassed £40,000.
However, the prize pot was soon slashed thanks to one of the contestants.
After her cash builder round, Kim was next to face the chaser.
But she made a controversial move when she accepted The Vixen’s minus offer of £5,000.
It meant that even if Kim survived the round her team would see the prize money fall automatically to £35,000.
Viewers at home were left furious by Kim’s move and branded her ‘selfish’ on social media.
One said: “Kim takes away 5 grands worth of hard work.”
A second wrote: “Who takes the minus offer. Absolute COWARD.”
“Kim on #thechase what a horrible selfish old c*** that she is. 5k in her cash builder and takes a -5k,” said another fan harshly.
A fourth commented: “Imagine getting through with 40k for someone to take 5k off.”
The Chase airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
