My neighbour’s branches kept hanging over my privacy fence & it was driving me mad… so I got my petty revenge
AFTER his neighbour’s tree hung over his fence, this man took extreme steps to remedy the situation – but it’s divided viewers.
“Yeeno8” posted the petty move on TikTok, and claimed he asked the neighbour to take care of it before getting his revenge.
His move has divided viewers online[/caption] Some have called the homeowner a Karen[/caption]He said: “The neighbour’s tree keeps hanging over the fence.
“I’ve asked nicely… I’ll do it myself.”
The frustrated home owner then took out hedge clippers and chopped down the parts of the tree which were hanging over his property.
But many have said his reaction was too extreme, and accused the homeowner of “looking for things to be mad about”.
One viewer said: “Ugh, you’re that kind of neighbour?”
Another said: “That’s kinda petty man.
“I personally think it looked good. Besides, they aren’t dropping leaves you gotta clean up.”
In a second video captioned “the ultimate in petty”, he shared new footage of him trimming tiny leaves poking over his fence.
Viewers were more supportive the second time round, with one commenting “I’d do the same!”
Another said: “You don’t need it hanging over on to your side – it looks like s***.
“I would have done the same thing!”
Two neighbours who had a dispute over a tree found a unique way to remedy the situation – by cutting the tree in half.
The dispute broke out over the divisive tree in Waterthorpe, Sheffield, in 2021 and residents say it’s still a topic they avoid discussing.
Bharat Mistry and his family said they were “gutted” when their next-door neighbours called in tree surgeons to cut half the branches of the 16ft tall Fir Tree that had stood for 25 years.
The drastic action came after a year-long fight between Mr Mistry and neighbours Graham and Irene Lee, both in their 70s.
He claimed Mr and Mrs Lee had complained birds in the tree were making too much noise and making a mess of the drive of his bungalow in Brier Close, a quiet cul-de-sac where houses sell for between £160,000 and £220,000.
And today the tree is still standing tall – but it’s half the width.
