Emmerdale fans call out ‘giveaway’ clue about who was driving the car before horror crash
AN Emmerdale fan has claimed that they know the identity of the person who was driving the car during Heath Hope’s deadly smash.
The teen, played by Sebastian Dowling, was sensationally killed off during the show’s New Year’s Day episode.
It has led to devestation swooping across the Dales as they deal with ramifications of what has happened.
It has also sparked question about just who was behind the wheel of the car.
Both Heath’s twin Cathy and Angelica King have blamed the other for being the driver of the vehicle during the horror smash.
Fans of the show only ever saw Cathy driving the vehicle as she insisted she had been taught how to drive by her brother Scott, despite only being 16.
It has led to conflict between their parents before Bob ultimately declared that he thought it was Cathy who was lying as she “had form”.
However, one eagle-eyed fan has now shared their theory that ‘proves’ it was Angel behind the wheel of the car.
Commenting on her injuries, they penned on X – formerly Twitter: “Angelica was deffo the one driving all her injuries are on the right side of her face.”
The notion that it was Angelica’s fault comes just a day after furious viewers blasted the soap for their ‘botched’ attempt a portraying a police investigation.
With a differing account of what exactly happened in the deadly car smash now leaving the police with lots of questions to answer, some fans have called out an obvious plot hole as they say a key part of the investigation was not completed thoroughly.
During Angel and Cathy’s medical examinations, fans argued that they would both have bruising and impact marks from their seatbelts which would give away who was sat where in the car.
However, this detail appears to have not been picked up on by the police.
Equally, both teens were interviewed whilst under arrest at the police station but without any form of legal representation.
Airing their frustrations at the botched scenes, one fan said on X – formerly Twitter: “Why have none of these kids got legal representation in these interviews? And surely in couple hours police will have Angelica’s DNA on the drivers side airbag…”
Heath died following a car accident in which he and his twin Cathy and their pal Angelica King stole Wendy Posner’s car and drove to a party in nearby Hotten.
However, the young teens ran into trouble as their car crashed off the road and left Heath dead as a result of his injuries.
