I got my teeth re-done and it was the worst mistake – they always pop off and I have to superglue them back on
A FAMOUS influencer has issues a stark warning on getting your teeth replaced with crowns.
Tana Mongeau, a YouTube star from the US, was left horrified last year as a tooth came flying out of her mouth in a video.
Tana, who has been open about her tooth struggles in the past decided to get crowns to replace her teeth.
Each of her teeth were drilled down with porcelain white crowns placed on top to create the perfect smile.
But it seems Tana didn’t get the dream smile she had hoped for as a video from December last year showed one of the front crowns fly out of her mouth as she began talking.
And the problem has only continued.
Taking to TikTok, she revealed she was forced to superglue the crown back into her tooth.
“Get ready with me to super glue my tooth in,” she began.
She then pulled the crown from her tooth to show the teeny tiny stump of a tooth she had left.
Mortified by her appearance she exclaimed: “You’re actually f***ing kidding me?”
Tana did have an appointment with the dentist in the morning but clearly wanted to fix the problem immediatley.
Taking a pot of superglue she began applying it to the whole in the crown so it would stick onto her tooth and applied pressure for a few minutes to make sure it stayed put.
She added: “Now you just hold it and you hold it and you dance around and you regret getting veneers for the rest of your life.
“Never get them.
“If you want them, don’t get them. Don’t.”
The next clip saw Tana spit into a Corona beer bottle as she explained that she now had to spit for the next hour to make sure she didn’t swallow any of the glue.
Tana’s clip soon went viral with over 2million views and 188k likes on her TikTok account @tanamongeaulol.
People were horrified by the scenes in the video and took to the comment section to share their thoughts.
Many told Tana the reason she was having these problems was because she didn’t get veneers.
Dentists say the difference between veneers and crowns is that veneers are bonded to just the front surface of your tooth, while a dental crown covers your entire tooth – which seems to be what Tana has.
One person wrote: “Who’s gonna tell her she didn’t get veneers and that’s why this keeps happening…”
Another commented: “They ain’t veneers girl they crowns.”
“I’m going to fight your dentist,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Bestie maybe it’s time for dentures.”
“I have had veneers for 13 years, I’ve never had this issue lmfaooo!! Tana what are you doingggg? Go to a new dentist,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Honestly permanent dentures would have saved you time/money/mental health cause they don’t fall out easy like that.”
