Very popular Renault model set for bold new look & several major upgrades – including an aggressive front bumper
RENAULT’S new Captur model will be “electrified” in the UK and have many new features.
Expected to be released in the first half of this year, the Renault Captur will get a reboot similar to the Clio’s makeover.

Details of the upgraded car were leaked just before Christmas and show the motor’s dramatic changes.
The car’s new exterior will resemble Renault’s flagship Austral and move further away from the closely related Clio.
The new model’s front bumper is more aggressive, “while the front grille plays with Renault’s latest corporate identity”, according to AutoExpress, who used the official drawings to create their images.
The leaked designs also show modifications to the headlights and bumper.
The rear of the car also gets a “facelift in the interior of the lights and the lower area of the diffuser”.
Currently, the second-generation Renault Captur holds the title for the longest vehicle in the B-SUV segment.
With the model’s upcoming update, the new Captur will continue to be one of the most spacious and family-friendly SUVs in its class.
Drivers can expect major upgrades to the interior and a “boost in material quality”.
The new model will have larger infotainment screens and its instrument panels will be rolled out to more of the trim levels.
Most notably the new Captur model will go full-hybrid in the UK with its “existing 1.6-litre E-tech full hybrid configuration retained”.
Renault’s new Captur could range between £22,000 – £28,000 and remains one of the cheapest small SUVs on the used market.
It comes after Renault revealed plans to bring back its iconic 5 hatchback as an expensive electric car.
Renault says they will also bring back the classic Twingo model in a whole new electric form – of which ex-Barcelona star Gerard Pique is a huge fan.
