The Sun can reveal that the famous home in the North East which the Geordie Shore cast inhabited for 10 years is set to be demolished with work expected to begin this month.

Current owners of the site, Harris Strategic Land Ltd, have had plans submitted to North Tyneside Council approved to completely knock down the former home of stars such as Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle and Vicky Pattison.
Located in Wallsend, just outside of Newcastle, the cast of the hit MTV series first moved into the premises in 2012 beginning with the second series of the show.
Whilst the show has regularly filmed abroad and in other locations, the house had remained the one consistent factor from the second series until now.
The building is one of many properties located on the Oceana Business Park site which look set to be demolished as part of the current plans.
A former industrial site, MTV moved into one of the buildings, legally known as Laurel House, in 2012 where they converted the warehouse into the residence for the reality TV stars.
A further building which houses production offices as well as the show’s green-screen studios, known as Northumbria House, is also to be flattened to slab level in the coming weeks under the new plans seen by The Sun.
Geordie Shore was last filmed on the site in July 2022 for the final episode of the twenty-third series which featured a reunion for the show’s original cast members with them coming back together for the first time in years.
At present, ahead of the demolition work, the house lays abandoned and has been completely stripped of its interior and bears no memory of its former famous inhabitants.
Harris Strategic Land said the site had been left “derelict” upon their purchase.
An insider told The Sun: “It is an incredible shame that the Geordie Shore house will be coming down once and for all.
“It holds such incredible memories for the cast and was an iconic staple of British reality television over the past ten years.”
Whilst the show is still filming, with a new series set to premiere in days, bosses have moved away from its previous format with the show now seeking to follow the cast members in their day-to-day lives as well as lavish group trips abroad in a similar style to its rivals The Only Way Is Essex and Made in Chelsea.
None of the upcoming twenty-fourth series is believed to have been filmed within the famous house with the cast instead flying out to Cyprus to a luxury villa to film what has been labelled as the most explosive series ever.
The insider added: “For the last year the house has been left well and truly abandoned.
“It has been completely gutted with the kitchen fully removed, all the fixtures and fittings taken away and any nod to Geordie Shore being completely ditched.
“The walls are completely bare and there isn’t even any running water on the site.
“It is a shell of what it once was and looks totally unrecognisable from its days on TV.”
The neighbouring buildings are also believed to be in a similar state.
As part of plans given approval by North Tyneside Council, Harris Strategic Land will knock down up to seven buildings located on the former industrial estate as part of planned redevelopment .
This also includes a building which was once used for exterior shots of ITV police drama Vera.
The popular series moved onto the site around the same time as the MTV programme but this will also be demolished in a matter of weeks.
According to planning documents seen by The Sun, demolition activity on the site is currently expected to take up to 12 weeks in total.
Fans of Geordie Shore need not worry however with a new series kicking off in days and another series planned to begin filming this May.
The Sun has reached out to Harris Strategic Land and MTV for comment.
