They revealed to George, who is played by Colin Salmon, that they were paid to adopt him.
George was left stunned by the news and this week EastEnders viewers watched as he broke down in tears.
But now fans think they’ve rumbled who his real parents are – and he doesn’t have to look very far.
They believe Patrick Trueman, who is from Trinidad, is George’s biological father.
One fan also speculated how his partner Yolande could very well be the former boxer’s real mother.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one said: “Do not tell me Patrick is George’s father!”
A second posted: “Just got a feeling that George will turn out to be Patrick’s son.”
“I’m calling it now. Patrick Trueman is his dad.”
George was adopted via a process known as farming which saw children advertised for money for parents looking to give children a home.
It will spark questions regarding George’s real heritage and will differ from that of what his parents had led him to believe.
Viewers will quickly realise that Gloria and Eddie are not what they seem as it’s clear both are still concealing secrets from their son.
Eddie’s racist ideologies will come to the forefront as his fractured relationships with his family are exposed as they challenge him on his views.
