Kylian Mbappe ‘reaches agreement with Real Madrid to join on free transfer next season’ in hammer blow to PSG
KYLIAN MBAPPE has reportedly agreed a free transfer to Real Madrid.
The PSG striker is said to have ended huge speculation over his career by deciding to join his biggest admirers in a mega move this summer.
Foot Mercato claim the 2018 World Cup winner reached an arrangement with the Spanish giants “in recent days”.
The French outlet say Mbappe, 25, say join Real next season.
Manchester United and especially Liverpool had been talked up as possible destinations for the France icon.
It’s also understood Mbappe has rejected at least one world-record offer from Saudi Arabia.
But now Real’s long-running pursuit of their dream target could be close to becoming reality.
Mbappe is entering the last six months of his contract – meaning a deal with another club was always likely.
The 75-cap star, who scored a hat-trick in defeat against Argentina at the 2022 World Cup final, had the option to extend his PSG contract another year.
But as long ago as last summer he wrote to club chiefs to say he had “no intention of doing that”.

At first that meant he was exiled from the French champions’ pre-season tour.
And it’s thought PSG accepted a £259million offer from Al-Hilal – which Mbappe turned down.
Instead he knuckled down to show some of his best-ever Ligue 1 form – which could now be rewarded in the way he, but maybe not PSG, wanted.
