I was mum-shamed at a baby group for being a size 6 just two weeks after giving birth…I don’t care, they’re just bitter
A WOMAN has revealed that she was cruelly mum-shamed at a baby group.
Mum-of-one Allanah claimed that she dropped down to a size 6 just two weeks after giving birth, but was met with a bitter response from ‘miserable’ mothers.
The brunette beauty took to social media to open up about her experience, as she hailed baby groups as the ‘worst places ever’.
She claimed that it’s a ‘shame’, but she’s always seen the groups as very ‘judgemental’ environments.
Posting online, we saw Allanah hold her beautiful daughter, as she claimed: “When I walked into a baby group alone with a two week old in my size 6 clothing and witnessed a bunch of mothers laughing at me.”
She then added: “Hate bitterness. Most of them do nothing but slate each other.
“Awful environment for kids and new mothers! Worst places ever.
“Always had miserable and judgemental vibes from them! It’s a shame.
“Not all groups are like this but you do get a majority of bad ones!”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @allanah_xo, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 41,100 views in just one day.
However, other mothers could relate to Allanah’s claims and many were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Mum groups are hands down the WORST. I’ll never put myself through that again.”
To this, Allanah agreed: “Literally.”
Another added: “Worst environment ever. I’ve never felt so awkward in my life.”
In response, Allanah admitted: “Same as me.”
Whilst a third commented: “Me walking through the door covered in tattoos – I got all the looks. Didn’t go back.”
Allanah then claimed: “You’ve got to look a certain way to attend apparently.”
At the same time, someone else asked: “Were they not just smiling at your tiny baby?”
Allanah then confirmed: “No, you know when a group of sniggering, bitter people are laughing towards you.
“It’s like they have a problem with young looking people.”
However, another mother claimed: “I think this isn’t the case everywhere, I was a young mum and an older mum and fine at baby groups!?”
But Allanah clapped back and explained: “Well you were lucky then, read the comments, it’s very common.”
