Towie’s most controversial star in talks for Celebrity Big Brother after explosive on-screen row and cast feud
CELEBRITY Big Brother have lined up one of Towie’s most divisive stars for the show’s re-launch this March.
The Sun can reveal that ITV bosses are in talks with Chloe Brockett to head into the famous home later this year.
Chloe made a name for herself on the ITVBe show but has been embroiled in controversy after she was suspended from the programme following a ‘glass-throwing’ incident.
It is thought that the 22 year old jumped at the chance to sign up to the programme as her fate on the show that made her a household name hangs in the balance.
A source told The Sun: “Chloe Brockett is in talks to appear on the show – nothing is signed yet but she’s really excited and can’t stop telling people.
“She grew up watching the show and her return to Towie is still uncertain so it would be a good show to do while she’s waiting to see if she’ll go back to it.
“ITV already know Chloe is great TV.”
Her fiery temper could see her clash with her potential housemates which would make for dynamite viewing for the show’s return series.
Celebrity Big Brother bosses are believed to be shelling out a whopping £2million in order to secure the show’s biggest and best cast yet when it returns to screen this March.
It could be the start of a busy TV comeback for Chloe after it was confirmed that she would appear on Celebrity Ex On The Beach later this year also.
Chloe’s TV career had been believed to be in jeopardy following a slew of controversial acts including an explosive ‘glass-throwing’ fight that saw her suspended from Towie.
During an explosive row, Chloe is thought to have launched three glasses at her co-star Roman Hackett.
At the time, a shocked onlooker told The Sun how Chloe exploded with fury at Roman during filming in Brentwood.
Since then, she has faced a lengthy suspension from filming the hit show with her future still yet to be determined.
Chloe could see herself in the company of Shirley Ballas, Rebekah Vardy, Sarah Ferguson and Louis Walsh who have all been tipped to appear.
A TV insider said: “The team behind the programme are being clever about the kind of celebs they’re considering.
“They don’t just want big names in there — they want stars who will bring something truly intriguing.
“Louis is just the kind of figure they want in the house — someone with serious life experience who not only has something to say, but isn’t afraid to say it.
“These characters have delivered some of the most outstanding moments of Celebrity Big Brother in the past and they’ll want to produce those again. That means they may need to splash some cash to secure the people they have their eye on — but it’s a worthwhile investment.”
A spokesperson for Big Brother said: “Any names for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation.”
