THERE’S no denying that McDonald’s can work out expensive – especially if you’ve got a large brood to buy for.
But savvy mums are going wild after coming up with a genius way to recreate their own McDonald’s Happy Meal dupe at home – but for half the price.

But while a McDonald’s Happy Meal retails at £3.49, Aldi‘s replica costs just £3.50 for two people – meaning it costs just £1.25 each.
Alongside the image, she penned: “Who ever posted about Adi’s happy meal THANK YOU – my son absolutely loved it!”
“(I quite enjoyed it too).”
To make it even more realistic, Kev told how she added a toy herself – just like they do in the McDonald’s Happy Meal.
“Total for 2 home made happy meals £3.50,” she added.
After much interest, Kev shared a second photo showing exactly how the dupe is sold in Aldi.
She explained how she bought a box that contains ‘2 servings of takeaway style French fries’ and ’12 chicken nuggets with Sweet Chilli and BBQ dips.’
It wasn’t long before the comment section racked up over 622 likes and 219 comments – with many claiming that Aldi’s version of the chips were better than the real deal.
“The chips are so nice, I do them in the air fryer and they came out nicer than Maccie’s chips,” wrote one.
A second penned: “My niece asked for more and they were all gone didn’t say they were nicer but she thought they were Mcd’s.”
