Stacey Solomon reveals major health update after being hospitalised on holiday that turned hellish
STACEY Soloman has said that she’s “feeling half human again” after her holiday came to dramatic end when she was rushed to hospital and placed on a drip.
The Loose Women star was on vacation in Jamaica with partner Joe Swash and their five children when she began to feel flu like on their penultimate day on the Island.
Now back in Britain, the TV star says she is finally starting to feel better. She said “I finally feel half human. I’ve come downstairs, Joe’s missed me down here. I feel like I can get up and down the stairs properly, sounds ridiculous but I’ve just felt so rough. But I woke up today and I feel a little bit more human and that’s all I needed.”
Just a day before they were due to fly back to the UK, Stacey began to feel unwell, experiencing bodyaches, fever and feeling drained. Her worrying symptoms prompted the medical staff at the hotel to send her to hospital, where she was immediately given an oxygen mask and placed on an IV drip.
Although she was able to travel back to the UK, husband Joe was left in charge of managing their five children on the long haul flight.
Stacey, 34, was given antibiotics to treat an infection that was causing the fever. Now she insists she will “Listen to her body” and rest until she is fully better, having felt frightened by the ordeal.
She said: “I’m one of those people who’s like, ‘I’m fine’, then I end up in hospital in Jamaica.
“It is what it is, I just need to rest my body.
“I don’t ever want to feel like that again because it actually scared me a little bit.”
She added: “I’m going to listen to my body and let myself get well. I’ll just have to have Christmas decorations up in February.”
The Loose Women star had treated her children and extended family to a New Year break in the Caribbean. She said, “Not in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be able to do this. 20 f us, 10 hours later and we’ve made it to paradise!”
