During tonight’s episode of the programme, Claudia Winkleman announced to the four Traitors – Ash, Paul, Miles and Harry – that they would not commit a murder and instead would condemn four players to the basement.
They chose to send two of them – Ash and Paul – as part of a double bluff technique as well as picking Meg and Andrew.
Claudia told them that the winners of the day’s mission would then be able to choose one person to save from the four.
That then meant that one of the remaining three would have to me murdered that night.
However, the decision at the day’s banishment then gave away what would happen.
Having won the challenge, the winning team chose to save Andrew from elimination.
This meant that only Ash, Paul and Meg remained.
It meant that Meg would be leaving the show regardless whether it was at banishment or murdered that evening.
Traitors cannot murder one another and as such it sealed the fate that Meg would be murdered.
Furthermore, as Ash was picked by the group to be banished, it further solidified that Meg was certain to be leaving next.
It baffled fans of the show at home as it gave away the elimination results for the next episode as the twist appeared to have backfired.
Commenting online, one fan wrote: “This twist is a mess because they sent 2 traitors to the dungeon. Now we know Meg will be the next murdered.”
Another added: “Okay so if Andrew’s safe and the other two are traitors that means Meg is definitely going tonight yeah?”
As a third echoed: “So we know Meg is going as well.”
Someone else penned: “Meg is dead anyway, right? She’s the only one the Traitors can murder!”
Before a fifth then added: “What is the point, Meg to get murdered.”
The show ended on a ‘cliffhanger’ despite already revealing that Ash had been banished and certifying that Meg would be murdered.
