‘Usual garbage!’ fume After The Flood viewers as they slate ‘ridiculous’ ITV premiere just minutes into opening scene
VIEWERS of new ITV thriller After the Flood have been left fuming that the show is not worth watching.
The crime drama kicks off after a huge flood has devastated a small town in the north of England.

While local first responders struggle to manage the crisis, PC Joanna Marshall finds a man dead in an underground car park.
Cops assume that he got trapped in the lift while the flood waters rose and drowned.
The pregnant policewoman is put in charge of investigating the mystery man’s death, but soon becomes obsessed with the case, suspecting there is foul play at work.
People watching at home have been left unimpressed by the new ITV series, and took to social media to slate it after the first episode aired.
One person wrote a scathing review, saying: “For me it was a turkey. Had a very clunky opening sequence that was laughable rather than dramatic, not helped by a paint by numbers techno soundtrack.
“I was hoping for a disaster thriller with some eco themes but this had no ambitions beyond a plain old murder mystery. Direction particularly of the opening flood scenes was poor and unconvincing, they didn’t seem to have any budget at all for extras.
“The script was very poor on all levels, clunky dialogue, heavy exposition, an unbelievable world, everyone says exactly what they think.
“No interest in watching more, let alone 5 episodes. A real turkey, avoid if you don’t want indigestion.”
Another hit out: “After the Flood already looks ridiculous after the first 5 minutes.”
A third agreed: “Five minutes in and it’s going to be the usual garbage.”
