Masked Singer fans convinced that Piranha is huge American superstar actor after ‘giveaway’ clue
THE Masked Singer fans think they’ve sussed Piranha is a Hollywood superstar following a “giveaway” clue on Saturday night.
The popular theory is that singer Danny Jones from the band McFly is the celeb behind the mask, after viewers heard the fish belting out ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’ by Celine Dion on Saturday.
Now an American movie star has been thrown into the mix – and the clues are fairly convincing.
The name emerged on social media after viewers saw Piranha’s riddle in his VT.
The riddle also appeared on The Masked Singer’s official Instagram account next to an emoji of the ‘happy and sad masks’ that are synonymous with theatre and acting.
The riddle said: “Piranhas are hugely hungry, piranhas do bite, but I’d rather munch popcorn on this special night.”
Fans took the popcorn, the masks, and the fishy character to mean Baywatch star Zac Efron is Piranha.
The actor’s resume is also filled with a diverse mix of musicals, comedies, and dramas.
And his first ever acting job was in theatre and he joined an improv troupe as a teenager, before his high-school drama teacher found him an agent.
Writing on social media, one said of the High School Musical star: “Am I the only person whose long shot guess is Zac Ephron?”
Another said: “It’s got to be Zac Ephron!”
And one more suggested: “If it isn’t Zac Efron I’ll be more shocked than Shocky McShock from Shockington.”
