The Masked Singer shock as Rat is finally revealed as HUGE Strictly star
THE Masked Singer’s Rat has been revealed as Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas.
Rat competed against Dippy Egg in the sing off, and Shirley became the third star to leave the megahit ITV show.
Rat took to the stage first and got all of the judges up dancing, performing her second rendition of Nelly The Elephant, while Dippy Egg performed Y.M.C.A. by American disco group Village People.
But Judge Davina McCall revealed Shirley hadn’t done enough to stay in the competition
Davina said: “This was really tough but the singer we’ve decided to save is, Dippy Egg.”
Shirley delivered a huge shock to the judges when she pulled her mask off and turned around.
“I would say it’s one of the best times in my life,” Shirley told them.
She added: “I enjoyed every minute of it, it was way out of my comfort zone, I absolutely loved it.”
Wacky characters Bigfoot, Cricket, and Maypole made it through to the next round.
ITV sleuths at home were earlier convinced Maypole was Rita Ora as they flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, with their guesses.
TV favourite and judge Mo, 35, was blown away by Maypole’s silky smooth rendition of Clown by Emilie Sandé.
Despite Joel Dommett telling fans at the start of the episode that Rita was working in America while the show was being filmed, Mo was convinced that she was stood right in front of them under the costume.
When it came to the guesses, Mo was adamant that he’d recognised the voice before and said it was none other than the Hot Right Now singer Rita, 33.
Mo exclaimed: “Why is she not here, because she’s here?”
While many fans back him up, with one writing: “Absolutely convinced Maypole is Rita Ora.”
A second speculated: “Maypole could be Nadine Coyle…..But until we see them on the same show together i’m still saying it’s Rita Ora.”
