‘This is a declaration of war, it’s morally wrong’ Brits claim as they are left baffled at Aldi’s crisps in Australia
A MAN has been left horrified after shopping in an Aldi store in Australia.
Whilst browsing the food aisles, Lee Marshall was left appalled, and totally baffled, at the colours of the crisp packets.
The Brit, who expected to see chicken flavoured crisps in a mustard colour bag, and prawn cocktail in a pink bag, was totally stunned that the flavours didn’t correlate.
Posting on social media, Lee claimed: “Shame on Aldi for this one.”
As he then zoomed in on each flavour of crisps, he shared his “first world problem”, as he admitted he was seriously “confused”.
He then explained: “This ain’t on. I’m in Aldi, but not in England, in Australia.
“[It’s got the] standard layout. Food round the outside, s**t in the middle. Same as Lidl.
“But someone is messing around with the colours, of the flavours, of the crisps.
“I’m going to show you what I mean, because this goes against everything I stand for and know.”
As he saw a yellow bag of crisps, he remarked: “Since when is cheese and onion in a yellow bag? As far as I’m concerned that’s ham and mustard.”
He then saw a green bag of crisps, but was shocked, as he added: “Chicken, in a green bag? Chicken should be a mustardy colour bag.”
As Lee spotted a pink bag of crisps, he added: “This ain’t on though. Look. You’re thinking prawn cocktail…no. Salt and vinegar.”
Lee was equally as baffled when he saw the blue bags of crisps, which in Australia, are the original flavour.
To this, he continued: “Original…cheese and onion? No. Salt and vinegar? No. Ready salted are blue.”
His final discovery added to the confusion, when he saw the barbecue crisps, which were in orange bags.
To this, he claimed: “That should be dark brown, that’s in the bag that the chicken ones should be in.”
Clearly appalled at his discoveries, Lee then added: “This ain’t on. All the flavours are in the wrong colour bags.”
He later claimed: “It’s not right.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted a week ago under the username @leemarshalluk, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it has quickly racked up a staggering 190,500 views.
Social media users were equally as confused, and many took to the comments to express this.
Not only did people admit to feeling ‘triggered’ by the colour of the Australian bags of crisps, but they also called it a ‘crime’.
One person said: “I’d say this is a declaration of war.”
Another added: “I’ve never been this triggered!!”
A third commented: “That’s a crime against crisp-nation.”
Whilst someone else wrote: “I didn’t think it would be this bad.”
At the same time, another foodie penned: “How dare they!!!”
