I scored the designer fashion thrift store find of all finds for $39.99 – I had to bite my lip to stop from screaming
A THRIFT shopper couldn’t believe her luck when she stumbled upon a designer item for cheap.
She thought the price had to be wrong, so she bolted out of there before the store owners changed their minds.
A self-proclaimed second-hand aficionado named Monica Paulino (@monicampaulino) said her hobby really paid off during her latest shopping excursion.
“This is the thrifting find of all finds,” she began in the clip.
The discovery made her so excited, she had to tame her emotions to not cause a scene and risk losing the item.
“When I tell you that I literally bit my lip so that I would not scream in the store…”
With her eyes wide in shock and her mouth agape, she called her purchase “unbelievable,” claiming she couldn’t have even “dreamt this up” because it was so rare.
Then came the reveal.
She found a vintage Louis Vuitton bucket bag for only $39.99.
That leather monogrammed piece, with brown leather straps framing the front and back, goes for anywhere from $750 to $1,550 on second-hand websites if in good condition.
And hers was.
“She’s in gorgeous condition. Let me show you the inside,” she boasted, revealing that there was hardly any wear and tear.
“There’s a date code. The stitching is perfect.”
She shared photos in a designer bag Facebook group, and most users agreed that it looked authentic.
Thrilled with her find and not wanting to return it, she got in her car and drove away before the store owners could potentially stop her.
“I got in my car and was going to film this in the parking lot, but then was like, ‘No. What if they tell me I owe more money?’ So, I drove away to the post office,” she said, filming in her car.
Other shoppers shared similar stories.
“I found a Bottega Veneta for $8 two weeks ago. I had one of those ‘get in the car’ moments,” one revealed.
“Girlll I just found a vintage Gucci bag from the 1950’s BRAND NEW at the thrift. Unbelievable and it was $40,” added another.
