Easy way to dry your clothes quickly without spending a penny on the heating or running a dehumidifier
WITH the cold set to continue, many of us are struggling to get our laundry dry and clothes can rapidly piling up around the house.
Though you can’t change the forecast, you might want to try this incredible drying hack – which won’t cost you a penny.
The mum has found a foolproof way to make the most your space when drying your laundry[/caption] Rather than using a dehumidifier, this mum has a free way to get her clothes dry[/caption]As temperature plunge across the UK, many people are resorting to use expensive methods to stop the washing from pilling up.
Whilst you might be tempted to use your tumble dryer, you could be left with an eye watering bill after drying off that spare duvet cover.
Not only could you fork out upwards of £250 for the machine, they also come with an additional hidden cost as Hugo Energy app claims they cost between £81 and £175.50 to run per year.
Even using a dehumidifier can add up, with the average spend being roughly 16p per hour or 1.92 per day if you leave it on overnight.
With every penny counting at the moment, many of us will be wanting to save where we can and this includes our laundry loads.
Thankfully, mum Natalie Catling has found a free (yes, you read that right) way to dry her clothes in her home – without any creases.
Instead of using a traditional airer, the cleaning whizz revealed on Tiktok that she actually hangs her clothes on her curtain rail as she waits for them to dry.
Unlike other bulky alternatives, this hack makes use of existing space in her home.
If that weren’t impressive enough, hanging the clothing above the radiator also helps any creases to drop out when you do decide to turn it on.
She also have save time, as the busy mum pointed out that she won’t need to rehang her items before they go in the wardrobe.
Though her video hasn’t gone viral yet, we reckon Natalie deserves to after sharing this money-saving hack.
The influencer isn’t the only one sharing her laundry hack on the app though.
In fact, another cleaning fan revealed how you could repurpose your desktop fan to help get your clothes drying faster and your home smelling fresher.
Originally shared by Tiktok star @geo.cleans, it involves propping your fan by an open window and aiming it towards your wet washing.
According to the influencer, this helps to circulate the air in your home and dry it faster.
This will also prevent any annoying musty smells as because the moisture will evaporate quicker and prevent any bacteria from breeding.
For those worry about being left out in the cold by this hack, you can prevent your home from losing valuable heat by closing the door as your laundry dries and adding a draught excluder.
After seeing the content creator’s viral video, one fan even gushed about how useful this hack was.
They wrote: “We do this too! Dries everything in under an hour.”
With temperature set to plunge to minus -3 this weekend, now is the perfect time to also test this out.
