Nancy and Dale bought the 1970s narrowboat three years ago and decided they wanted to make it into a home.
They have shared their journey via videos posted to their TikTok channel @pig.film and have decided to name their boat The Pig Boat.
In one video, Nancy explained that the couple bought the boast without ever looking at it, as they weren’t allowed to go for a viewing during lockdown.
She said that thankfully it was “love at first sight”.
Nancy and Dale completely stripped the boat of every thing and lived in it when it only had a toilet, a camping stove and a fire in it.
The couple had to sleep on an airbed on the bare floor for ages while they renovated the boat.
They also had to shower in leisure centres in villages they went past.
The couple gave it a new lick of paint and set about making their way from Bath (where they bought the boat from) back to London.
Nancy said neither of them had ever driven a boat before but watched some YouTube videos to figure it out.
They arrived in London a month later, after a few trials and tribulations, including getting stuck in the mud
Nancy said the boat has now been transformed and is “stunning”.
In pictures and videos posted to their Instagram account @thepigboat, the couple have shared an insight into what the boat now looks like.
It has a large double bed and a cute kitchen, complete with a quirky green fridge, a sink and a hob.
Lots of adorable plants decorate the walls and even a tiny pizza oven on the roof.
Discussing the couple’s decision to live on a boat, Nancy said: “It was a life changing decision.
“Although I feel blessed, it hasn’t always been easy. “
TikTok users raced to the comments section of the couple’s video to share their thoughts on Nancy and Dale’s living quarters.
One user said: “This is awesome! Absolute dream!”
Another user said: “It’s my dream to live on a narrowboat”.
A third user chimed in: “This is what my life would be like without kids.”
