On the latest episode of Corrie, Paul, who plays Peter Ash, goes on a road trip with his mum, Bernie Winter, played by Jane Hazelgrove, and sister, Gemma Winter, played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, but things don’t go to plann.

The trio got in a slightly run down camper and headed out of Wakefield, but it was not long before Bernie managed to get them lost in the dark.

With no phone signal and stuck trying to get directions, it seemed things couldn’t get any worse for them, only for their van to get stuck in the mud, which left them completely stranded.

Scenes from the ITV soap showed Paul magically appearing outside of the vehicle in his wheelchair while they all assessed the situation at hand.

However, Coronation Street viewers were baffled by how Paul wasn’t getting stuck in the mud and could get in and out of the caravan easily despite no ramp being in sight.

Fans took to X(Twitter) and discussed the scenes as one user penned: “How the heck did they fit Paul’s wheelchair through that little door on the camper van?”

A second person followed it with: “How in the name of disability is Paul getting in and out of that crap wagon?”

Another reeled: “There were so many disability access issues with Paul (wheelchair user) in a camper van on #Corrie it, for me, totally undercut the drama of the whole MND storyline.

“It’s beyond frustrating disabled people aren’t consulted about these things.”

A fourth user shared: “So @itvcorrie, if the camper van is stuck in the middle, then how come Paul’s wheelchair isn’t stuck as well.”

Another two fans asked, “I’m sorry, but how the hell did they get Paul into that vehicle?” and “Shouldn’t Paul be inside the van before he gets stuck in the mud??”

Elsewhere on the episode, fans were convinced they had worked out Simon Barlow, played by Alex Bain’s harrowing exit storyline.

As Chris Gascoyne’s character, Peter Barlow is an alcoholic, some viewers are scared that Simon could be about to follow a similar pattern, which could lead to his confirmed exit from the show.

Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
