WHEN it comes to makeup, the technique can make or break a look.
One beauty influencer shared her trick to get super long lashes with mascara.
Azaria (@azaria.mckinnon) shared the makeup trick in a video with over 1.5 million TikTok followers.
The Miami-based beauty enthusiast said that although her trick was unconventional, it definitely worked to boost her lashes.
“If you’re looking for your lashes to slay, you need to stay,” she said.
She explained that although she used eyelash serum to lengthen her natural lashes, her mascara technique took things one step further.
“I’m going to show you how I get my lashes to look so long because I do my mascara really weird and I feel like this is why,” she said.
“Fair warning, we are going to look like a feral raccoon for five minutes but it’s fine.”
First, she used a brush to separate her lashes and then followed up with an eyelash curler.
Next, using the Maybelline Push-Up mascara, $12, she applied a layer of mascara upwards as normal.
“First, I do the bottom layer, I go up like normal. The next step is definitely the most important — once my lashes are all covered, I go back and I twirl them up,” she said.
Twirling the mascara wand in an upward motion, she made sure to separate and lengthen at the same time.
Afterward, the influencer cleaned up the excess mascara with a Q-tip.
