BLACK HAWK EAGLE (3.00 Hereford, nap)
He was impressive when battling to victory at Wincanton last time, coming from a mile back to nab his rivals in the closing stages. The handicapper has been fair with a 5lb rise and Kerry Lee has her horses in excellent form. This slightly longer trip holds no fears. He showed some promise in Ireland for Noel Meade but that was just his second spin over hurdles in Britain so there should be a lot more to come.
MORFEE (3.50 Plumpton, nb)
Jockey James Best has struck up a good partnership with this eight-year-old who scored at Taunton before going down in a head-bobber here last time. That was over an inadequate distance and he’ll be much happier with this stamina test. He still looks ahead of the handicapper and can strike again.
BHALOO (2.00 Hereford, treble)
He was a bumper winner at Market Rasen last season and has made a good impression on both hurdles runs. He kicked off with a close third at Kempton before trainer Nicky Henderson sent him to Doncaster where he had plenty in the tank when scoring. This slightly longer trip will help and there should be a lot more to come.
DUHALLOW TOMMY (2.20 Plumpton, Lucky 15)
Had an impressive 13 lengths in hand when winning over course and distance last Monday and can follow up. He has just a 7lb penalty for that success and young rider Ben Bromley takes over and his claim accounts for most of that. It’s hard to see anything beating him in this field.
