Celebrity Big Brother’s filming start date revealed – and most controversial series yet is just WEEKS away
CELEBRITY Big Brother’s filming start date has been revealed ahead of the “most controversial” series ever.
The Sun can reveal that filming for the ITV2 show starts in a matter of weeks, as the stars are set to shoot their entrance VTs in mid-late February, ready for the show to go to air in March.
Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith has signed to appear on the show[/caption]An insider told The Sun: “Not all of the famous faces have even signed on the dotted line yet but the series is going full steam ahead and has already booked in studios to shoot the introductory videos that will play as each well-known housemate arrives.
“The first ones are set to be filmed in just a couple of weeks in mid February, and they should all be shot by the end of the month, bar any late signings.
“Producers want this year’s stars to be really outrageous in their opening segments, so will be encouraging them to deliver their fighting talk and make dramatic promises that will hook viewers in.”
It comes after The Sun revealed that Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith had signed to appear on the Celeb Big Brother reboot.
Insiders said the controversial businessman had negotiated a hefty contract with the ITV show’s bosses.
Gary — brother of Kate’s mum Carole — had been locked in talks with them but signed his deal last week.
A source said: “Gary is champing at the bit to get on Celebrity Big Brother.
“He finalised the terms of his deal today and can’t wait to enter the house.”
Insiders said Gary, who attended Kate’s marriage to Wills in 2011, is CBB’s most controversial signing.
The source added: “The CBB team love him because of his link to Kate and the fact that he’s confident and loud and won’t hold back.
“He’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan.
“Gary also holds a deep affection for Kate and Wills and will be able to give a fascinating insight into what it’s really like being related to the future King and Queen.
“He could be TV gold and ITV knows it.
“The deal he signed is for good money.”
Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Levi Roots and former X Factor judge Louis Walsh are also in advanced talks.
While Love Island‘s Chloe Burrows is also in talks to appear on the fly-on-the-wall show.
An insider said: “Everyone is desperate to see Chloe Burrows head into the Love Island All Stars villa and shake things up with her ex, Toby Aromolaran, but she’s actually been in talks to star in another big ITV reality show instead.
“She’s had meetings with Celebrity Big Brother producers, who are keen to sign up a Love Islander and think Chloe would fit the bill perfectly.
“She’s sassy, outspoken and she’s single, so she could potentially enjoy a romance in the house too. Nothing has been signed yet, but the talks have been promising and Chloe is keen.”
The Sun previously told how former Towie star Pete Wicks was also in talks for Celebrity Big Brother and England rugby ace James Haskell has been lined up for the show.
