First to enter the den were married couple Tim and Danni Binnington with their hairbrush company.

Their hairbrush range, called Manta, aims to stop breakage, and at the same time boost shine.

Tim originally came up with the idea of the brush when his wife was suffering from a life-threatening illness that caused her hair to fall out.

However, the pair left the dragons stunned when they valued their business at a whopping six million.

They then revealed they wanted an investment of £240,000 for just 4% of the company.

After trying the product, the dragons were sceptical but Peter Jones made them an offer.

He sought to be an equal partner with the couple in exchange for the near half a million pounds they wanted.

Sara Davies outdone him, offering the cash but for 24% of their entire business.

As Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett declared themselves out, Touker Suleyman swooped in.

He offered Tim and Danni all the money for a third of the business – but with a royalty of £2 per product.

He also said: “When I get my money back I drop down to 20%.”

But after considering all three offers Tim and Danni decided to walk away from the deal and left Dragons’ Den empty-handed.

Former hairdresser Tim explained: “We’re going to respectfully decline the offers.

“Our counter offer, the only thing I think we could’ve gone for is 5% for £250,000 but it would have insulted you so I didn’t want to do that.”

Fans at home have been left enraged by the scenes, with one posting: “Ffs weren’t interested in anything but publicity then. Sara could’ve shifted tonnes of them on QVC.”

A second said: “They were far too ambitious with that valuation – 30x profit?! He also thinks he’s amazing which could end badly.”

While a third wrote: “That’s not how business works are they mad!”

Dragons’ Den is available now on BBC iPlayer.
