My DIY spa mask is supercharged and saves money – my skin is so soft when it comes off, yours will be glowing for days
A SKINCARE expert has revealed how she saves money with her homemade spa mask.
Not only does she save time and money on trips to the spa but the skincare trick helps keep her skin glowy for days.
Ava, a skincare influencer, shared her recipe for a DIY modeling mask[/caption] She purchased a modeling mask powder[/caption]Ava (@glowwithava) shared the beauty recipe with over 1.7 million TikTok followers.
She picked up a jar of $18 modeling mask powder with infused collagen.
“I’m going to do some heavy scoops. Trust me, you need a lot to do a thick layer to cover your whole face,” she said.
“Now you’re going to add water. I like to boost my thing so I like to add some essence to it.
“I know this is pouring expensive essence into it so use whatever you want to.”
Ava mixed the ingredients up until she achieved a gooey paste but had one more trick up her sleeve.
“I learned this from a Korean spa. They loved [while] doing their modeling masks to boost it even more so they add serums and stuff,” she said.
“I love adding peptides for an extra boost into it,” she said, adding drops of a hydrating oil and peptide serum.
“Not only is it a modeling mask but it’s a supercharged mask.”
Using an applicator, she applied a thin layer across her face and waited for it to dry for 30 minutes.
Half an hour later, she peeled off the mask and couldn’t stop feeling her skin.
“It’s so soft, probably because of all the hydration that was on it. Obviously a lot more work than your typical sheet mask so I only do this once in two, three weeks,” she said.
“But when I do it, my skin is so soft and I promise when you do this, your skin is going to be glowing for days.”
