Tessa Peay (@tessapeay) boasts almost 2 million followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty and fashion inspiration.
She was all smiles as she took to the social media platform to reveal how she keeps her waist length hair healthy.
“My hair oiling routine for hair growth,” read the text over the video.
“Brush out tangles from ends up.
“Apply a homemade rosemary oil to the scalp,” she said demonstrating.
“I apply it in small sections then massage into the scalp to make sure it all gets coated.”
A recent study cited by MedicalNewsToday found rosemary oil can have the same effect as hair growth treatment minoxidil, after six weeks of use.
Experts say rosemary oil should never be applied to the scalp without diluting it first with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or castor oil.
In a previous video, Tessa revealed that she boils a few sprigs of fresh rosemary with half a cup of avocado oil.
She then combines it with two teaspoons of jojoba oil, two teaspoons of sweet almond, one teaspoon of argan oil, 16 drops of peppermint oil, and one teaspoon of vitamin E oil.
Tessa used a pipette to apply her homemade rosemary oil to her hair.
“Massage with a scalp massager to promote blood circulation for 20 minutes,” she said.
“Apply sweet almond oil or hair mask to mids and ends of hair for hydration.
“Put the hair into a safe hairstyle,” she said clipping her hair up.
“And let it sit on the scalp for four hours.”

“I do this every time I wash my hair (every 7-10 days),” she added in the caption of the video.
Over 195,000 people liked the video and hundreds of people took to the comment section amazed by Tessa’s long hair.
“I wish my hair looked like this,” one person wrote. “Love this routine,” another said.
According to an article published by Healthline, less frequent washing can reduce breakage and hair loss.
Lifestyle, personal preference, and hair type can affect the longest healthy time someone can go without washing their hair.
