I built a tiny home on wheels with my mom – now I live rent-free in San Diego, my toilet pulls out of the dinette seat
SAN Diego has a new homeowner in town, but she’s not afraid to live on-the-go, even when nature calls.
She said she build her tiny home on wheels with the help of her mother.
Abby Joselyn (@abby.joselyn) filmed herself giving a tour of her rent-free abode in a video on TikTok.
“Hey,” a voice off-camera said. “How much do you pay for rent in San Diego?”
“I actually don’t pay rent,” Abby replied.
She took the videographer to her van, which she parked by the seaside.
“I lived here for the last year and a half,” Abby said.
The home on wheels featured all the amenities any tiny home could need, including a kitchenette and sleeping cove.
“Me and my mom actually built it over seven months,” Abby said.
“I was working full time in public accounting and we were building it out in my parents driveway on the weekends,” she added.
The tiny home also has running water for a sink area, storage for her clothes and shoes, and a scenic rooftop.
“I have a sink right here with hot and cold running water,” Abby added.
The toilet, although unconventional, was tucked away in the dinette.
“And then I have this little dinette which someone else can sit with me here, which Is really nice,” she said.
“This seat is kind of hilarious because my toilet pulls out in my kitchen.
“But it’s so nice to have a toilet in a van, and I couldn’t live without it,” she added.
The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“Everything is so cute and efficient but I could not do that toilet situation,” one wrote.
