‘You can’t ignore it’ says expert with best used EVs to buy for as little as £5,000 – & Citroen is ‘like witchcraft’
A MOTOR expert has revealed the best electric cars for climate-conscious Brits – including one he claims is “like witchcraft”.
The selection of motors – and their prices – could help drivers when deciding on their next green-friendly whip.
The car expert said these are the cars he would reccomend if asked ‘what to buy’[/caption] Each car has been picked due to some particular features[/caption] He said this is perfect for drivers that want a comfortable cruise[/caption]Youtuber ‘Electric Vehicle Man’ posted the video hoping to help motorists make the right choice when looking for a new electric car.
In the video, he said: “I’m going to give you my top pics, if you will.
“I don’t mean just my favourite ones personally, but the ones that if someone asks me I would probably recommend first.”
Each car has been picked due to some particular features that he says could be a no-brainer for new owners.
And what’s even better is some of the motors can be be picked up for as little as £5,000.
RENAULT ZOE
First on the list is a 2015 Renault Zoe.
He said: “Let’s start off with this, the Renault Zoe. This is very much at the cheapest end, £3,500.”
The exact model is a 2015 22kWh Dynamique Nav Hatchback 5dr Electric Auto (battery lease) (88bhp).
The battery lease is the biggest thing to worry about

He continued: “It’s a 2015 car, it is a battery lease, but for that price it’s an utter bargain. I got one for £4,400 a few months ago which we’ve now sold on, brilliant.
“The only thing with this, because it is a bit of a gamble, it’s MOT is due next month.
“Now the battery lease, the biggest thing you’d worry about, is covered but ultimately it could be either a bargain or there’s some bill waiting.
“Either way you’re probably looking at about £1,000 cheaper than it should be, had it had 12 months MOT.”
After showing the car off, and a second example for just under £5,000, he reminded driver’s to always try to knock the price down by giving the dealer a call and negotiating.
CITROEN E-C4
Another vehicle he advised – a Citroen e-C4 – is worth looking at because of a “unique” element that comfort-hunting drivers may want to peak their ears at.
He said: “Something a little bigger now, the Citroen e-C4.”
The exact model is a 2021 50kWh Shine Plus Hatchback 5dr Electric Auto (136 ps).
He continued: “The unique selling point of this, the thing that makes us like it, is it has something that the other cars don’t.
“It’s super smooth, super comfortable, the suspension is just witchcraft.
“£13,250 asking price for a two-and-a-half-year-old car that’s done 40,000 miles.”

TESLA MODEL 3
Finally, the motor-genius showed off a Tesla Model 3, costing £19,944 and showing a market average price drop of nearly £2,000.
He said: “Of course, we can’t do a used EV thing without mentioning a Tesla.”
The exact model is a 2020 Standard Range Plus Saloon 4dr Electric Auto (241bhp).
He continued: “Tesla model 3, 2020, it’s pretty much my car and it’s less than £20,000.
“You have the supercharging network, which is what makes it flawless to own, if you do long journeys you don’t have to worry about the charging network, speed or availability.
“The car just does it all for you.”
He’s not the only four-wheel-motor expert keeping Brits in-the-know, with all sorts of crafty lists being uploaded online to assist drivers – and soon-to-be first car owners – on finding the perfect car to match their needs.
Last week, this expert revealed the best six cars to get on a budget, and they all cost under £6,000.
And, deal-hunter Mo revealed the best set of cheap SUVs – so those that need a decent boot won’t pay over the odds for the extra space.
