Bake Off’s Noel Fielding worlds away from new character as he poses at launch of Apple TV+ series with Hugh Bonneville

NOEL Fielding will soon transform into Dick Turpin on our television screens as his new series gears up for release on Apple TV+.

Noel, who rose to fame in the early 00s with his work in comedy troupe The Mighty Bouche, takes on the role of the highwayman.

The Great British Bake Off host posed with his co-stars at the pre-launch event for the series yesterday in a leopard print jacket.

Noel, 50, paired the pink coat with a printed pink shirt, blue jeans and black boots as he posed for the camera in front of his own image.

He looked a far cry from the character, who dons an 18th century garbs and rides a horse in a first look at the series.

The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin sees Noel spin the traditional tales of the highwayman on their head.

Marking his first time in a sitcom role for over a decade, the series follows his absurd escapades when he’s made the leader of a band of outlaws, and tasked with outwitting their-taker Jonathan Wilde.

The character, played by Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville, hunts the 18th century bandits and highway robbers.

With Dick as the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, his success becomes mainly defined by his charm, showmanship, and great hair.

Dick will be forced to endure the highs and lows of his missions and endeavours, and will even find himself having a close brush with an 18th-century star.

The comedy-adventure series will see an abundance of British TV comedy talent crop up across the six episodes.

Actress Tamsin Greig, from Channel 4 sitcom Friday Night Dinner, will appear alongside her former co-star Mark Heap.

The cast also includes comedy stars Asmin Chaudhry and Ellie White, as well as Hollyoaks actor Duayne Boachie.

The series premieres on Apple TV+ on March 1.
