A man’s mind was blown after discovering it can actually be cheaper to book a five-star hotel in Turkey with all meals included than to pay a month’s rent in Manchester.
Josh Kerr shared his amazement in a video and showed exactly how he found the deal online.
On his @joshkerr0 account, he shared: “I’ve just found out that it’s cheaper to live in a five-star, all-inclusive resort than it is to live in Manchester.”
He said he’d been inspired to look up deals after an American man had mentioned it in a video.
Josh said: “I thought ‘I’ve got to give this a go.’”
He showed in the clip how he went on the On The Beach website and searched for 28-night deals from April 1.
The TikToker also selected ‘all inclusive’ from the drop down and put his flights going to and from Manchester – and his jaw dropped at the results.
After selecting “price low to high”, he found that he could check into a resort in Antalya, Turkey for £938 per person for the month.
He continued: “Look at that – are you kidding?
“Five star hotel, hold luggage included, they aren’t even going to include a stupid price for getting the hold luggage included, 20kg in there.
“Fast track security, what more could you want?
“I’m living here in rainy Manchester, this geezer he’s got his umbrella out.
“Won’t need that in Turkey in a five-star resort.”
Scrolling through the pictures of the hotel’s room and pool, he added: “That looks pretty decent that.
“I’m not being funny but I pay £950 for my rent, bills, council tax and that.
“Here you are getting breakfast, lunch, evening meal, drinks, snacks AND a gaff, for £937.10 – that’s with flight as well.
“What are we doing in England?”
The hotel also includes a gym, spa and entertainment in the evenings too.
His video has racked up over 7,000 likes, and people seemed desperate to relocate.
One person wrote: “I work online. I could totally do that.”
Another added: “Food & drinks included all day, every day too. Only additional cost would be washing clothes.”
And a third commented: “don’t even tempt me like that.”
