I’m 56 but look so young people think I’m my daughter’s sister – it’s thanks to celery-infused BATHS we have together

AN AGE-DEFYING 56-year-old woman has told how she’s often mistaken for being her daughter’s twin sister.

Gabriella Vigorito, 23, and her mother Catherine, 56, have told how they’re so close, they dress the same, have coordinated their work schedules so they can spend every ounce of free time together, and even share weekly baths

“I love being mistaken for my mum’s twin or sister – she’s gorgeous, so it’s a compliment!” Gabriella said, speaking to Closer magazine.

“At 56, it gives my mum a boost, too!

“Even a then-boyfriend of mine once got confused by who was who.

“That was a bit weird, but we’re so used to it now!”

Gabriella went on to say how her mum, who is an author and product designer, would dress her and her sisters in the same clothes when they were little – and would even wear a matching outfit herself.

The model recalled one occasion where her mum picked her up from school and the substitute teacher thought she was her older sister – despite the 33-year-age gap.

To make them even more identical, the inseparable mother and daughter duo share the same sense of style and are the same size, meaning they also borrow clothes from each other’s wardrobes.

But Gabriella admits the similarities get particularly awkward when it comes to boyfriends.

“One day, my boyfriend popped over to see me and he had to do a double-take when Mum walked in wearing the same outfit as me,” she said.

“He almost got us confused which would have been awkward.”

Gabriella has even followed in her mum’s footsteps by competing in the same beauty pageant that she won back in 1988.

But it’s the pair’s rather unique beauty regime that may take people by surprise.

Appearing in TLC‘s reality series S’Mothered in 2023, they revealed that they’re so close, they even take celery baths together twice a week.

Speaking on the show, Catherine said: “Twice a week, we take celery baths together.

“It releases all of the stress – it’s beautiful for our skin.”

She added: “The celery juice heals the body but when we bathe in it, it takes it to a new level.”

Gabriella chimed in: “When we’re in the soap, we’re one, and we can think as one.”

The mother and daughter duo could then be seen stirring the tub, before dipping the celery into the water they were bathing in.

“The celery tastes so good after you dip it,” Gabriella said, to which Catherine added: “It’s like tasting the essence of us.”

Gabriella went on to say how they have a “best friend relationship” because they always hang out, but added that Catherine is definitely her mum because she packs her lunches, does her laundry and even makes her bed.

“I’ve always lived at home, I never went away to college,” she explained.

“I’ve always been here with my mum and I love it.minute.”

My mum has such a love for me that she genuinely misses me after only a couple hours.”

Catherine confirmed: “I do! Gabriella is a cosmetologist I’m an inspirational author writer so we designed our work schedules to have the same time off so we can be together.”
