Brit finds 28-day all-inclusive holiday to Turkey for £938 – which is ‘cheaper than rent and bills’
A BRIT has revealed how he found a bargain 28-day all-inclusive holiday – that would cost less that his rent and bills in the UK.
Josh Kerr, from Manchester, currently pays £950 a month for his flat.
However, he recently found out it would cost him £938 to stay in an all-inclusive resort in Turkey for 28 nights, including flights and food.
In the clip, he found the cheap holiday via On The Beach where he showed his viewers the Xoria Deluxe Resort in Antalya.
He said: “I’ve just found out it’s cheaper to live at a 5-star all-inclusive resort than it is to live in Manchester.
“Even looking at the gaff, it’s a 5-star hotel. I mean, it looks pretty bog-standard to me, it’s decent for £900 a month.”
Currently, the average rent in Manchester city centre is more than £1,000 a month, according to Zoopla’s data.
Some tenants would have to shell out £1,312.99 for council tax band A or a whopping £3,282.50 for band G.
“And I’m living here in rainy Manchester,” said Josh.
He added jokingly: “Look at this geezer he’s got his umbrella out, won’t need that in Turkey will I when I’m in a five-star resort.”
Josh couldn’t believe that an all-inclusive resort more than 2,400 miles away could be cheaper than his apartment.
“I’m not being funny right, but I pay £950 for my rent, bills and council tax and that,” he explained.
Josh added: “Here, you get breakfast, lunch, evening meals, drinks, snacks and a gaff.
“What are we doing in England?”
Josh’s TikTok video has gathered 1million views and over 70,000 likes and comments.
One of his followers wrote: “I work online.
“I could totally do that.”
Another added: “Remote working looking even more attractive….”
And a third commented: “Just typed this in for Ibiza, same dates -£890 happy days.”
