‘Why didn’t I think of this?’ people cry as pro cleaner reveals game-changing toilet hack to stop ‘making a mess worse’
A CLEANING pro has revealed a simple hack to cleaning your toilet.
Some people online were gobsmacked after learning of the game-changing technique, in part because it’s so easy and can stop you from making even more of a mess while cleaning.
TikToker The Cleaning Queen (@cleaningiscute_) said that there is a right way and a wrong way to clean your home.
“Going in right away with any wet products is just going to make the mess worse,” she said.
“Toilets get covered in dust in just a week or two so make sure to run over it with a duster,” the TikToker added.
In the video, The Cleaning Queen showed an image of a dusty toilet.
“You need to dry dust this stuff before using any cleaning products,” she said.
The TikToker then used a duster on the crevices of the bowl.
The video has since gone viral, with more than 3.2 million views and over 1,300 comments.
“Never thought about this omg,” one person wrote.
“Why didn’t I think of this,” a second said.
“I would get so mad when the dust would just move around,” a third added.
Some people were skeptical about using a duster on a dirty toilet.
“But what about when I get sketched out touching the duster on the toilet before wiping with a disinfectant,” a person remarked.
“I use disposables,” The Cleaning Queen answered.
A few commenters had different suggestions.
One idea was to vacuum the dust first.
Another possibility was to use toilet paper to remove the dust and then flush it.
The Cleaning Queen said both of the methods work, too.
