My $12 product is the key to flawless undereyes – but the order you apply it in really matters
MAKEUP-LOVING siblings have shared their go-to product for making the area under their eyes vibrant and flawless.
A $12 budget buy is their secret, but there is a specific order it should be applied to be most effective.
Wife and mother Nicole Masifilo (@nicolemasifilo) founded the makeup brand Half Caked Beauty alongside her sister, Erica.
The duo showed themselves side-by-side in an Instagram Reel applying a popular product from their collection on both of their faces.
Nicole said their Half Caked Star Bright Liquid Brightener, $12, is the “key to her makeup routine” and is currently having a two-for-one sale.
The siblings had different ways of using it, and Nicole made her sister apply it her specific way to see a difference.
“POV: Making my sister try my method of putting under eye brightener over bronzer,” the subtitle read.
Before they applied the product, they both already had a base on that included foundation and bronzer.
In the video, Nicole stood on the right with blonde highlights and wore the shade Ray of Light, while Erica stood on the right with dark brown hair and put on the shade Beam Me Up.
“Putting it over everything after your under eyes gives it underpainting vibes but brightens so much more!” the entrepreneur wrote in the caption.
Nicole mentioned in the caption that she always sets with powder using a puff and then applies her blush last.
After blending the concealer, they both added the Star Bright Loose Setting Powder, $18, in the color Translucent 1.0.
Erica used a blush brush to blend out her brightener and the setting brush for powder, while Nicole used a beauty blender and the puff included with the powder.
Right before the tutorial ended, Erica came close to the camera and said she looked “flawless.”
Viewers were massive fans of the technique and shared positive feedback in the comments.
