I tried to copy Molly Mae’s baggy jeans look but it was an epic fail – it’s giving ‘I have no clothes to wear’
MOLLY-MAE Hague is considered the most successful Love Island contestant ever – with a huge fashion empire to boot.
When she shares a snap of herself wearing an outfit from PrettyLittleThing, it sells out almost instantly.
Fashionistas also look on in envy as she flaunts her designer handbags and wardrobe on Instagram.
And it’s not just members of the public she influences, with one a fellow Love Islander revealing she attempted to copy one of the star’s recent looks.
Mal Nicol, 26, first appeared on the ITV2 reality show last summer, but only lasted seven days before being dumped.
During her stint, the brunette stunner became known for her comedic personality and has gained a loyal following upon her exit from the Majorcan villa.
In a recent video, Mal showed off the disastrous results after attempting a country look styled by Molly-Mae.
She said: “I just saw this video and Molly Mae was wearing cowgirl boots with baggy jeans.
“I want to try it. I don’t know if I’m going to look like a weirdo.”
Pulling the outfit together, she added: “I don’t enjoy wearing jeans.
“I don’t know about this. It looks like when you’ve gone to your mate’s for a sleepover and you’ve forgotten clothes.
“But this is how she wore it.
“Even looking down, it’s making me feel ill. How did she make it look so cool?”
Mal’s flatmate immediately shot down the adventurous look as she asked: “What are you doing? Why have you tucked your jeans in
“Those jeans don’t fit in your boots mate.”
Uploading her video to social media, Mal admited: “Defo looks way cooler on Molly Mae than Molly Mal hahaha.”
Her hilarious clip racked up 89,000 views with social media users in stitches over her finished look.
“It’s given taking the bin out quickly and chucking on the first pair of shoes at the door lol”, joked one.
A second wrote: “My outfits aren’t rubbish, I just don’t look like Molly Mae.”
A third added: “Really though, that outfit is shocking, girls just like it because molly is wearing it.”
But a fourth claimed: “I think the colour of the blazer is throwing it off but I actually love it.”
Molly-Mae revealed last year she was stepping down from her £5m-a-year PrettyLittleThing job to focus on being a mum to baby Bambi.
But she need not worry about money, as she continues to earn her cash from her endorsements, and also through social media.
Due to her massive following on Instagram, Molly-Mae can command up to £77,000 per sponsored post.
