Joanne Baxter (@joanne_baxter) filmed herself doing the step-by-step anti-aging routine in a video on TikTok.
“Being 53 is a full-time job because at the end of the day, I might be 53, but I’m trying desperately to stay young-looking,” she said.
She tucked her hair back with a headband and placed the “leeches” under her eyes.
“First of all, starting off with the black leech under eye treatment,” she said.
“OK, so the leeches are now in place and the leeches come in the form of this Rodial Snake Jelly Eye Patches.
“They’re not really leeches, but they look like leeches and they seem to draw the blood to the surface and give you under eyes that beautiful, plump, firm and super moisturized appearance.
“They do have snake tri-peptides in them though, which obviously anything to do with peptides is good for your skin,” she added.
The patches are the Rodial Snake Jelly Eye Patches and sell for $14 for one pack on Amazon.
Once she removed the eye patches, she moisturized with Weleda Skin Food, $10.99 on Amazon.
She also tinted her eyebrows, used a collagen treatment on her lips, and even treated some minor acne on her chin.
“All of those things are just going to help my skin stay beautiful, young-looking, youthful, and radiant,” she said.
Joanne included a skincare enthusiast favorite, an ingredient that helps defy the effects of aging.
“Retinol is something that is just going to help repair all that skin damage while you’re sleeping,” she said.
“It is such a beautiful product for just keeping your skin looking super plump, super hydrated, and above all, it just repairs the skin,” she added.
