Aldi closes store doors - but more to open
By Karim Camara
A MAJOR supermarket with 1,000 branches is closing one today, leaving shoppers bewildered.
Aldi on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline is set to close today for three months so that the store can be refurbished.
Customers will have to head to Nightingale Place in Dulock Park to do their weekly shopping.
The renovations hope to improve shoppers’ experience and add more stock to the supermarket shelves, according to an Aldi spokesperson.
They said: “In order to provide an improved shopping experience for Dunfermline customers, the Aldi store on Halbeath Road will close on Sunday 18th of February to undergo an exciting refurbishment.
“We will be re-opening our new-look Aldi store in May.”
Another said: “Just eaten one.”
The offer is expected to run until February 21.
Elsewhere, one woman made sure to nab a huge selection, too.
Thrilled with her finds, Tammy took to social media to alert other shoppers.
In Tammy’s short clip, we saw the chocolate lover pushing her trolley around the supermarket, full with a huge haul of 20 Easter eggs.
She wrote: “When you hear these eggs are down to 75p.”
She later wrote: “Mozzas are doing bits.”
The foodie later explained: “Don’t worry I won’t eat them all at once.”
