One savvy homeowner named Andrea has praised a bargain buy from Amazon and, addressing her social media followers, noted: “100% recommend these.”

In a clip posted to TikTok (@andreaebanks), she shared a snap of the ‘hanging wardrobe dehumidifier’ which claims to ‘help stop damp mould, mildew and condensation.’

The product description notes it’s best for use inside caravans. wardrobes and store cupboards.

Posting an image of the bargain buy completely filled with water, Andrea noted: “From two built in wardrobes over two months.”

She explained how she was first recommended the product when she had the walls installed because both of her wardrobes are on the exterior walls hot meeting cold.

For anyone who doesn’t know how they work, she helpfully explained: “They’re dehumidifiers – they help with damp and mould, take the moisture out the air.”

Andrea revealed that she buys the product in bulk on Amazon, with wardrobe dehumidifiers costing £15.44 for 6 x 2 pack – meaning they cost just 85p each.

It wasn’t long before the post went viral, garnering a whopping 178k views and several comments from very impressed social media users.

“I use these just in my room and they fill up in a month, worth every penny,” wrote one.

A second penned: “I have them but for the wardrobe add a vent on the side. let them breathe.”

“I used them for my car after a bush driver rammed past me in a puddle,” a third person commented.

In Facebook group Cleaning tips and tricks, a woman named Jenny Ryan asked: ”Any idea how to stop mould growing in bedroom?”

Cleaning fans flooded the comments section with helpful suggestions, with one recommending a bargain buy from Tesco.

Sharing a snap of the HG Mould Spray, which retails for £5.25, cleaning whizz Claire Kirby noted: ”Used this around three weeks ago and it was outstanding still nothing has come back in my bathroom.

”Had this from Tesco, around £6 but well worth it and covers a lot of area.”
