I don’t want to shovel but don’t have a snowblower – my lazy tool works super quickly at clearing my sidewalk
A DIY-SAVVY homeowner has revealed how she removed snow from her walkway in less than 10 minutes.
She described herself as being “lazy” as she shared the hack which is quicker than using a shovel to move the snow.
Detria (@detriarochelle) boasts over 66,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares gardening and home decor tips.
She took to the social media app to share her “fast and easy” snow removal hack after being bombarded with questions.
“I had no idea that this video would be so highly anticipated,” she said.
“All because I said that I got out and took care of the sidewalk for my delivery.
“I can be lazy and this here is lazy because I don’t wanna shovel.
“That doesn’t mean I can’t be considerate.”
Detria demonstrated using Litheli’s cordless leaf blower to remove the snow.
She previously reviewed the $192 leaf blower in a separate video, having been gifted it by the manufacturer.
It has a whopping 4.6-star rating on the Litheli website and many reviews from delighted shoppers.
“I figure if somebody’s willing to bring me a delivery in a snowstorm, the least I can do is make sure that they can safely deliver it on my property,” Detria said.
“Who knows maybe it’s consideration?
“Maybe it’s people pleasery because that’s a habit I have yet to break clean from.
“So of course I did my neighbor’s sidewalk too and unknowingly earned me a bottle of wine in the process.
“They are a sweet older couple and the husband used to mow my lawn like clockwork when I first got divorced, so I always jump to help them in any way that I can.”
Detria said she had to use a shovel on a bit of the snow that was stuck on her neighbor’s property despite using the blower.
She confessed that she felt “embarrassed” when the delivery driver caught her recording the process of clearing the walkways.
“It took me all of eight minutes to remove all of that snow,” she said.
“I’m telling you, use your leaf blower if you want a fast removal job.
“I got everything salted and it lasted the whole snowstorm.”
She showed that the paths were completely clear from any snow so that it wouldn’t be slippery for walking.
Detria apologized to her followers for not sharing the tip sooner and in a follow-up video revealed she also used the leaf blower to remove snow from her car.
Over 16,000 people liked the post and hundreds of viewers took to the comment section to share their opinions.
“That’s not lazy, that’s smart!!!” one person wrote.
“Great idea! I will definitely use my leaf blower the next snow. Thanks,” another said.
“Aww you’re such a great neighbor!! I’d love to live next door and admire your yard,” a third commented.
“As a delivery driver thank you so much, I have fallen so many times during the snowstorm in MI,” another added.
