We work in Superdrug and here’s our favourite dupes save you £60 – our beauty secrets don’t break the bank
IT can feel overwhelming looking for new beauty products when you see shelves full of similar items.
From high end buys to cost-cutting dupes, it’s also tough to know which to opt for.
Superdrug staff have revealed their favourite beauty dupes[/caption]So staff at a Superdrug in Scotland have been praised by shoppers for revealing their favourite dupes available in store.
Workers at the East Kilbride Retail Park branch in Lanarkshire said: “Here at Superdrug we’re all about saving money.
“So we thought we would share some of our beauty secrets that don’t break the bank.
“Don’t say we’re not good to yous.
“We love nothing more than saving some money to buy even more.”
First up, the shop workers shared a pic of their own-brand ‘B. Skincare’ melting cleansing balm as they joked: “Now you’ve deffo seen this on This Morning. Elemis who?”
A 120g tub costs just £16.99 compared to £49 for 100g of the original Elemis item – and if you want to test it out first, there’s even a 15g jar available for £3.
Next up, the drugstore staff revealed the two Revolution items that they consider dupes for Charlotte Tilbury – the pro miracle serum (£9.99) and pro miracle cream (£10).
They said: “This isn’t Charlotte Tilbury magic serum?
“Or magic cream? No, but it’s just about £60 cheaper.”
They said their £4.99 Collection blusher is also “easily mistaken for Nars” which costs £26.
And they asked “who has £50 to spend on Chanel makeup?” as they revealed Collection’s £8.99 cream bronzer is almost identical.
Turning to Charlotte Tilbury makeup dupes, the Superdrug team said L’Oreal’s lipstick in shade 630 (£8.99) is an imitation of Pillow Talk (£27), while Elf’s £15 halo glow is similar to Hollywood flawless filter but £25 cheaper, and the halo contour and blush wands could save you £31.
Elsewhere, Elf’s £6 lash ‘n roll mascara is indistinguishable from Benefit’s pricier £27 roller lash version, and the £8.99 Maybelline lip glosses “have staff’s hearts” as £18 Fenty gloss bomb imitations.
The Superdrug dupe video has racked up more than 328,000 views since it was posted last week.
Agreeing with one of the picks, Makeup artist Elizabeth Marley said: “Collection cream bronzer is basically Chanel just a 0000000.1% less orange in shade.
“I have both, will always now rebuy Collection.”
Another shopper gushed: “The Revolution dupes are so good.”
A third added: “Thank you, off to buy it all.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “Thanks for this, added everything to my basket.”
