‘This needs to be stopped!’ fume Netflix fans as they’re left sickened by ‘horrible’ new show – but can’t stop watching
NETFLIX fans have been left sickened by a ‘horrible’ new show – but it won’t stop them watching it.
The streaming service provides shows from all over the world, with a number of Korean programmes really grabbing Netflix subscribers’ attention lately.
As well as gripping new thriller A Killer Paradox, many viewers have been left gobsmacked by a drama called Chicken Nugget.
While the title sounds quite cute, the show’s premise is very different, and follows a girl called Min-ah who is turned into a chicken nugget by a strange machine.
Her father – Seon-man – desperately has to try and work out how to save his daughter and transform her back into a human.
The official synopsis reads: “A woman steps into an odd machine and becomes… a chicken nugget?! Now, it’s up to her father and admirer to embark on a zany quest to bring her back.”
The trailer features a number of zany moments, with one seeing Min-ah’s father standing in front of boxes of nuggets and declaring: “This is not a dream, we have to stay sharp.”
Another moment sees him cry: “Bring the chicken nugget back to life!” as surgical hands prepare to dissect the fried goods.
While it is yet to arrive in the UK, the trailer has prompted a strong reaction online.
One wrote: “Netflix needs to be stopped.”
Another added: “This is so absurd that I might actually watch.”
A third tweeted: “‘What a horrible idea and it looks bad … we’ll watch it.”
Meanwhile a fourth commented: “This is gonna be the surrealist comedy of the century mark my words.”
The 12-episode mini-series stars some of South Korea‘s most popular actors including Ahn Jae-Hong, Ryu Seung-Ryong, and Kim Yoo-Jung.
Chicken Nugget arrives on Netflix on March 15, 2024.
